Every time we go out as a family we don't take a lot of pictures it's probably a max of two. But each of those few pictures is a story waiting to be heard. A story with a lot of drama, humour but above all the best of memories that we shared together. 😀

And here's what I did when Craftyscrappers announced their Sketch challenge. I created a layout for the photo where we all shared the frame on one of my most favourite and memorable trips!

I first did stencil work with modelling paste on a linen paper and let it dry. Then, I distressed the whole paper with distress inks, old paper and frayed burlap. Using stormy sky distress ink, I added one more layer to the paper.

Next I removed the top layer from the paper that came as a covering in a Chocolate tin box. I then cut out the paper in the shape of a banner and adhered it to the base.

I have a habit of using card-stock underneath my paper whenever I use sprays. So when there's an excess of the spray it gets absorbed by the card underneath. I have a huge collection of these card-stocks and used a strip from this stash as the next layer. For this, I used Tim Holtz honeycomb stencil with stormy sky distress ink.

I took out the Ornate frame MDF cutout and gave a coat with chalk paint bavarian shade and distressed a little with ground espresso. Let it dry. In the meantime, on Precious Moments MDF cutout, I used versamark with copper embossing powder and heat set it.

Finally assembled all the elements over a cheese cloth, stamped a random design on the background with stazon timber brown, embellished with flowers and leaves and stuck our photo to complete the layout.
