Miniatures!!!!!
Art in miniatures are always mind blowing. Mainly because it should not only be simple and attractive but it should also look appealing and balanced. Whatever elements we add, it should not be crowded but complement the other elements thus bringing the whole art together.
Here's my take on the Mini Marvels Theme from A Vintage Journey Blog Challenge and
Steampunk style by SanDee & Amelie's Steampunk Challenges
On a mini canvas, size 4"/4", did stencil work with Tim Holtz Measured stencil and Finnabair Graphite texture paste.
Gave a coat of Brass Patina Paste and added Blue and Mint green Pastes here and other.
Die cut few gears and embossed them with Platinum and Copper Embossing Powder.
Embellished using art stones and painted them with Vivid Ultra metallic Fuild acrylics Ginger Peach.
Highlighted a few areas with Inka Gold Old Silver and gave depth with Red Amber Art Alchemy Antique Brilliance. Finally added the quote.
My work revolves around the theme, "Great ideas need landing gear as well as wings".
Dream big, set the standards high, spread your wings and soar into the sky. However do add a landing gear to make them really count.

ReplyDeleteWell this was certainly a great idea! The background colours are gorgeous and I love how the art stones add even more texture to the cogs. The die cuts are such a lovely addition and the sentiment is brilliant! Thanks so much for joining our Mini Marvels challenge at A Vintage Journey.... Anne x
