Mixed Media Tags

For this month's Mixed media challenge at Happy Little Stampers, the topic is tags. Excited I am, that i made 2 tags.

Tag 1 - Creative Minds Are Rarely Tidy

For this tag, I first gave a background using the Rabecca Baer Mosaic Stencil and modelling paste. When this dried, i coloured it with Pine needles, antique linen and aged mahogany distress inks. I then used black soot distress ink to just add little more depth at few areas. Next with black archival ink, i stamped the image from the Penny black flower sparks stamp. Finally added ribbons and my quote(used picked raspberry for the background) to the tag to make it attractive.

Tag 2 - Create Art Everyday

For this tag, I first gave the background with mustard seed, fossilised amber and rusty hinge distress inks. Added little dimension with Finnabair 3D gloss gel and TCW fancy feathers stencil. When this dried, with the same feathers stencil added little effect with rusty hinge distress ink. Next, I used ground espresso with bubbles stencil and black archival ink on Bo Bunny Stitches stamp, added more dimensions. With an old bottle cap dipped in white acrylic paint gave impressions to bind the whole art together. Wrote my quote Create Art Everyday and added matching colours satin ribbons to give a completed look.
