Finding solace in Nature

Everybody at some point in time will want to take a break from their mundane routine. That's when they connect to nature where positive energy is always in abundance. We find solace in the trees, flowers, fruits, forest, mountains, waterfalls, sea, ocean... everything has its own beauty and teaches us to move forward... To never give up. Inspired by these elements from nature and the colours from the Dusty Attic September moodboard, I have created this canvas. I wanted a touch of both vintage and autumn colours. So used shades of yellows, reds, browns and greens - Totally earthy tones.

I applied modeling paste through a stencil and let it dry. While this was drying, gave a coat of thick Rust pastes - Military Green, Brown, Maron and Yellow on the Dusty Attic Chipboards Swirly Frame and Leafy Stem #4. Using archival inks and stamps, added some interest to the canvas. Coloured the background with Lindy's starburst sprays. Assembled the chipboards on the canvas over a cheese cloth and layered the flowers, die cut leaves, art stones and water droplets. Sprinkled some Crystal clear powder on the flowers.
Finally added my quote and splashed black to bring all elements together.

Here are a few more closeups.
