Hello everyone
I'm totally excited to share with you, my inspirational project for the Crafter's Castle Blog.
There are wonderful sponsors every month and this month it is Vectoria Designs. They have so many beautiful vintage designs. As a part of the Crafter's Castle Blog, I will be sharing 2 inspiring projects with Vectoria Designs Digi printables the theme being, "Anything Goes with Distress Ink Techniques".
With Valentine's Day approaching, I thought it would be appropriate to show something related to valentines gift. So I decided to create a box for chocolates, using the Chocolate Pyramid Box Vintage Printable digital collage sheet. I printed out the design on a 200 gsm paper. Actually there's a step by step tutorial in the printout as to where to score, cut and fold that made the job easier. After I cut out the design, did stencil work with Candied apple distress ink using Tim Holtz Flourish and Splash stencil. I next punched holes on all 4 top sides of the box and connected them with satin ribbon. I next added a tag from the Mini Apothecary labels printable set to the box to compete it.
Moving on to the frame. I felt it would be nice to gift something else along with the chocolate box. For this, I chose a frame from the Vectoria Designs Woods and Frames printables, that would complement the box. I created a card layout with distress inks and flowers and adhered it to the frame. Believe me!!! It actually looks like a framed one. I have a small video tutorial for this one. Hope you like it. Please do subscribe and share.
