Butterflies are one thing that goes very well with any background, layout or project. Infact I read somewhere, "When nothing works add a butterfly". They are such a beautiful thing that teaches us so much in life. Why am I getting philosophical now... Maybe because of the quote that I chose.
Today I'm at the Happy Little Stampers Blog with a mixed media art journal inspiration on the theme Butterfly.
Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.
Created the background colour using Distress Oxides Spiced Marmalade, Peacock Feather and Fossilised Amber. With modelling paste gave a stencil background. While this was drying, stamped the images from Stampers Anonymous Flutter stamp set with Versamark and heat embossed them with White embossing powder. Then coloured these images with Zig markers and fussy cut them. With Cobalt Archival ink added the Rubber dance Old book page stamp image to the background.
Added little more stamped images from Inkadinkado flourishes stamp with Archival ink Potting Soil
and Prima Jagged Lines with Archival ink Red Geranium. Stamped images from Mudra Mendhika stamp set and Mudra Chrishmas Decor Stamp set with Lindy's Polka purple and Lindy's Lederhosen Laurel embossing powders respectively. Finally added the images and the sentiments. My journal spread is ready.
Looking forward to your submissions for the challenge.
