The Spirit of Cherry Blossom

March through May, from Hokkaido to Nagasaki,
Spring time in Japan is all about celebrating Hanami.
Sitting under the Sakura trees sipping saké
Admiring the Sakura blossoms that last perhaps for a day.
The pink and white blooms that adorn every tree,
Is a reminder of life's astounding beauty yet its brevity.
