Damask Stlye Indian Wedding Decor

Hi all!!!
Indian Weddings are the most colourful weddings one can witness. While some weddings happen short and sweet in a day, some weddings go on for 3 to 5 days with lots of cultural and social get togethers. Not only the garments and accessories are colourful, but  also food and decors. Yellow Orange Red Green are the traditional Wedding colours in India. They add richness and positive vibrations too.
I have created a Damask style Indian wedding Décor in mixed media style for the Happy Little Stampers Blog Mixed Media Challenge for the month of May.

Our winner for this challenge will receive a $20 coupon to spend at the shop! Check out all the details HERE.

I cut out a heart shape Cardboard and used stencil and white crackle paste to create the background.
Used Lindy's Sprays and misted the background.
Added a little interest to the background using Kaiser Craft stamp and Archival Ink Vermilion
Die cut a Doily and applied Leafing Size, a glue to stick the imitation Gold.
When the glue was tacky enough, I carefully placed the Imitation Gold sheet over the doily. The sheet is very very thin and needs extra care while handling. Using a dry brush, brushed off the excess gold from the doily to get a crisp design.
On the Dusty Attic Chipboard Elegant Chain, I applied Fevicryl gold paint and decorated with Fevicryl 3D outliners Yellow and Pearl red.
Layered the Chip board, Doliy, leaves, flowers, art stones and sparkling dust to bring out the festive feel in my décor.
Few more close up shots are here.
