Decoupage on Tote Bag

Happy New Year to all!!!

Here's my first post in the New Year for the Craftreat Blog - Decoupage on Tote bag.

I adhered cello tape on the bags to form a border. On one bag, painted Acrylic colours Teal Blue, Cerulean blue and Greenery.

I painted the background of other bag with Plaid Folkart Colorshift Green Flash and Yellow Flash.

After they dried, removed the tapes.

I took the Kathakali image and the Rajasthani girl image from the Craftreat Paintings of India Decoupage papers and fussy cut them. Using Fabric mod podge, adhered them to the bags.

Using Craftreat Florish stencil and Greenery, I gave additional effect on to the background.

On the other bag, I took Red flash and Craftreat Paisley stencil, added the effect to the background.

The bags are ready. Except the drying time, as it is on fabric, the bags can be completed in about half an hour to 45 minutes.

These bags can be gifted for festivals and functions to our near and dear ones.

  1. Hi.. I wanted to know if you have sealed it with anything. Was wondering how it would be when washing the bag?
