A Mixed Media wall hanging with images and sentiments from Butterfly Wisdom Digital Stamp Set from our January Sponsor MHK Designs.
Here's the synopsis of the project.
Took an old mount board from my stash and cut a circle and heart shapes and applied a coat of gesso.
Gave texture using ICraft stencils and modelling paste and let it dry.
Printed the butterflies and sentiments from The Butterfly Wisdom Digital Stamp set, our sponsor for this month. The sentiments are in a very stylish font and the butterflies so unique and is of different sizes to suit any project be it Art Journal, Mixed Media, Cards, Altered Art, Scrap booking... So I fussy cut the images and coloured them with my zig markers.
Sprayed Lindy's Stamp gang on my base. Took a tissue paper and removed excess color as I wanted a very subtle background as to give more importance to the images. With the same tissue paper I dabbed a little color on the sentiments.
Punched holes on my bases and attached them with a string and wooden beads.
Added additional interest with script rubber stamp and Red Geranium Archival Ink.
Finally to bring everything together, added splashes of pearl black paint.
Tada... My wall hanging is ready.
