You are worthy - Art Journal

Drip, drip, one by one the gloomy drops fall down. They lay heavy on your shoulder as you try to stand. The drizzle stops, momentarily, paving way for the shower. The thoughts of self doubt loom over you and all around you. But you don't falter, not once. You don't let it get to you. And you don't allow those doubts block your path for in that moment,  you caught a glimpse of the rainbow. You saw the beauty that could not have been viewed if the rain hadn't poured first. And in that moment, you pick yourself up and smile. Looking ahead at the mesmerising rainbow ahead. You get the courage to walk in that rain without the fear of being drenched in sorrow. For it was the rain that showed you what you're truly worth.

Everybody at some point in their life will doubt themselves. It makes us wonder if we've taken the right decision. But we should never let this self doubt take over us.
It's been a while since I played with design tapes. So I decided to make an art journal page with the belief in my dreams and hopes!

Here's the Synopsis of the journal page.

Adhered Prima Vintage Black and white, Vintage Teal and Tim Holtz Idea-ology Vintage design tapes randomly on to the cardstock.

Gave a coat of white gesso. After it dried, added Immix Crackle Texture Paste through a Tim Holtz Flourish Stencil.

Super excited because I got that perfect crack.

Used Distress Oxide Tea Dye and added some more interest to the background with the same stencil.

Added Rubber Dance Old Bookpage stamp and border stamp from Stampabilities with Archival Ink Black;

Stamped Butterfly Trio from Rubber Dance Stamp on a cardstock with Versamark and heat set it with Little Birdie Gold Embossing powder. Coloured with Lindy's Salt water Taffy Shimmer Spray

Finally added my sentiments and some more interest to the background using Liquid Pearls Hydrangea, Flamingo and Taffy.

Few more closeups

 I believe in myself. I hope you enjoyed it. Have a great day!!!
