Hello everyone

Being a nature lover, I love natural elements in my work. They have their own beauty. I never miss a chance to include them in my project. Here's my inspirational post for the Canvas Corp Brands monthly Challenge for April with the theme Woodgrains. This project that I created is with Reduce, Reuse and recycle concept.

I did not want to do this project in my usual mixed media style. Wanted a different look. So here's what I did.
I got a small piece of wooden bark cut diagonally so I get my desired shape. Then nailed them to small barks that is about 1" diameter. My base is ready. I took a plastic box, that few international sprays comes in, and covered with Canvas Corp natural burlap fabric. On a tissue paper holder, applied Finnabair Crackle paste to give a natural bark like effect and let it dry. On a spearmint chewing gum box applied white gesso and let it dry.

Next with Tattered Angels Rustic Glimmer Glam paint, coloured the crackle on tissue holder, spearmint box and drew freestyle designs on the natural burlap. Added few gears embellishments. Adhered all 3 to the wooden base backside. On the front is the name plate. I gave a border colour with the same glimmer glam and retained the natural wood base to write the name. Here are a few closeups of my project.

To enter this challenge you need to link up your entry  Blog post, or post on Instagram, Facebook or Pinterest (link to the actual project – not the whole page) by using the linkytool below. You have until the end of May 4 to submit your project!  All submissions must have #ccbchallenge somewhere to be considered.
