Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sail. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain
Travel... I love traveling to new places... It rejuvenates ones mind and body. Sightseeing, learning about the different cultures, their history, trying out new food and even getting lost 😛. There's always work that affects us consistently to the extent that fatigue engulfs us. One must first understand when to take a break from routine and unwind oneself... Sometimes we need to get lost to find ourself and when we find ourself we find the world!
Take a break to enjoy nature's splendid beauty......to learn about people and their cultures... Break from the monotony... Travel... Travel... Travel...
Today I'm at the Happy Little Stampers Blog with a mixed media journal inspiration on Travel.
Took a decoupage paper that had map design on it and deckled all the sides to give a grungy effect. Using distress ink Ground Espresso gave the burnt effect. Used Finnabair Graphite paste on Tim Holtz measurement stencil to add interest on the background. With Black archival ink stamped gear images from Kaiser Crafts. Heat Embossed the hand image from Tim Holtz Stamp collection, and gear MDF embellishments. Die cut the globe and compass images. Assembled all and adhered to the base along with few metal embellishments. Used Inkagold Old Silver to highlight in a few places. Finally attached the base to a white yardstick on which I had oxidised the background with Vintage photo.
