Waiting anxiously

Dance and Art are 2 entities that go hand in hand for me. Dance has always influenced me to create my artworks. Here's one such work inspired by dance.

The heroine looks out her window, anxiously waiting for her beloved. She looks at the sky. It's dark except for the light from the moon just enough to shine at the flowers all bloomed by her window. The line in the song goes like this.
"Thamadham yeno vasanthamrutha velayadi"
The meaning is:
Time is running. Why aren't you back yet? The night is here and the flowers have bloomed spreading its fragrance all around.
This is one of my favourite verses from the dance Samiyai Azhaithodi Vaa.. a classic piece written by Guru's Father Padmashree K. N Dandayudhapani Pillai. . When I was teaching this line to my student I got mesmerised by this line and as I portrayed it in my dance, I could envision it in art form. And thus came my inspiration for the mixed media project waiting anxiously.

This is my DT project for Mixed Media Academy Challenge. For more details on the rules and prizes, click here.
I have used the shades of purple and grey from the palette and my expression says it all for silence isn't empty. It's full of answers. Well in my case it is full of questions.  (Yes!!! You are right.... That's me!!!!) This is a video tutorial. Click below to see the process.
