Birthday Banner

Celebrations add colour to life and Birthday is one of them. What is birthday without cakes, chocolates, birthday decors like banners, balloons, party, gifts etc.....
I made this colourful banner in mixed media style for the Mixed Media Academy February challenge. We have some lovely sponsors for the winners. For more details check the blogpost in Mixed Media Academy. My project here is a photo tutorial.

This is the mood board that inspired me to create this cute little banner.
Let's get to the tutorial.
I have used the Dots N Stripes papers from Dress my Craft as my base.
I cut out 14 banners of size 10cm/7cm. Added a layer of Paper Texture Paste from Finnabair through Dot Matrix Stencil from TCW.
Spritzed some Lindys sprays over the textures.
Added some Mudra Stamps to the background with black archival ink.
Layered some gauze cloth, diecuts, flowers, feathers, lace, metal embellishments, Craftreat chiplets and wooden alphabets of HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
Added some colour coordinating glass beads to all.
On the last banner I added a fussy cut gift boxes image.
Finally added splashes of black to bring everything together. Attached a long cord from behind and .....voila!!!!! My HAPPY BIRTHDAY Banner is ready.

Hope you liked it. Have a great day!!!
