Navarathri Return Gifts

Colourful rangoli and floral garlands adorn every doorstep... the sweet aroma of ghee and sundal (dal and masala) loiter in the air... corridors are filled with all powerful chanting of shlokas and hymns in praise of Devis - the Shakthi, and of course the energy of garba (dance), well, you have to witness it to believe it. Golu... the divine display of clay dolls and figurines of Hindu Gods and Goddesses arranged on odd numbered steps... they are mostly thematic. The festivities have begun in India. Nava in Sanskrit means 9. The 9 days of Navarathri signifies the ultimate victory of good over evil. Different states in India celebrate the Navarathri in different manner. It is a festival of positive vibes and 9 whole days of these vibes, well, who wouldn't feel cheerful!
