Inspire

Giving up on something is easy. But holding on and going against the tide and succeeding needs a lot of courage. Patience with perseverance always makes things perfect.

I recently purchased a few Rubber Dance stamps from my friend. Ever since I laid my eyes on the Rubber dance stamps, I wanted them. I have variety of butterfly stamps but this is something different. The designs are very unique and have always talked to me. It's like the inner calling. 😁(a better way of putting it than feeling guilty of adding one more butterfly to my collection isn't it..😛)

I'm presenting an art journal which i created with these Rubber dance stamps for the Rubber Dance Blog Challenge. The challenge is to use Rose, light Blue and Peach and the theme Glitter which is optional.

On a Linen Paper, I created a background using Distress Oxides Fossilised Amber, Worn Lipstick and Peacock Feathers. Next using the same coordinating Distress inks, I added a layer with Rebecca Baer Flights of Fantasy stencil and Tim Holtz Splash stencil.

Then with Finnabair Graphite paste and Organic Matter Mask stencil, gave a texture effect.

While this was drying, I stamped the butterfly trio image on a cardstock with Red Geranium Archival ink, fussy cut them and coloured them with Candied apple and mustard seed distress inks. There was a theme too in the challenge Glitters. So I added Nuvo glitter drops Ruby to add the special effect to the butterflies.

I wrote my favourite quote that depicts me and adhered all to the journal spread. I then stamped the old book page rubber dance stamp image to background with red geranium archival ink. Finally I sprinkled a little glitter powder to complete my art journal.

I'm submitting the same to HLS Mixed media Challenge

I'm submitting this project for Archi-scraps December Challenge .... the theme being pink.
